The Key Lab of Conservation Tillage and Ecological Agriculture, Liaoning Province is broadly focusing on microbial ecology and soil biogeochemistry with a goal to explore/understand how microbial adaptation, survival, and death in soils may act as a bottleneck and impact the functioning of natural and managed ecosystems. We integrate approaches from microbiology, organic chemistry, and modeling for examining microbe-mediated biogeochemical processes. We aim to apply our research results for developing guiding practices that improve the sustainable development agroecosystem and soil health.
